Happy New Year!
Liberals will be doing the Drinking Liberally thing this Thursday at the Shanty on 4th Avenue starting at 6pm.
This week, our special guest is the Minority Leader of the Arizona House, Phil Lopes. Phil will be joining us to discuss the upcoming session of the Arizona House and what we Democrats can do with our newly won political capital, and what you can do to help support progressive goals in Arizona.
Next week, Chairman of the Pima County Board of Supervisors, Richard Elias will be in house to discuss what’s happening in our county government.
Let’s start out 2007 with a bang! Please bring finger foods that can be eaten without utensils, but more importantly, bring a friend as well. The best way for Drinking Liberally to grow is through your good word of mouth. Please, help us spread democracy one pint at a time in southern Arizona.

As I would like The Arizona House of Reprentatives to pursue Progressive Goals I would also like to see a Food Safety Program initiated in Arizona. The Ecoli that has contaminated our food grown in Arizona has OVERLOOKED the FACT it is ORGANIC PRODUCE!
The word ORGANIC in the Produce industry means the land the produce is growing on MAY NOT have been treated with any fertalizers or pesticides for 10 years prior to the growing!
This little fact has also been overlooked by the new media on purpose to give a pass to the Organic Food Industry that if known would die overnight!
The organic Food Industry has been fighting with consumer damands for Color and constistancy in produce since Organic Produce lacks Color and consistancy.
Ready Pac has developed huge carivan of trucks that go into the field and pick produce , wash it and pack it right on the spot! The problem is the trucks that supply the water supply to wash the produce is similar to a car wash;recycled and used again and again.
The fresh Produce indudtry in Arizona supplies the Nation with its fresh produce and no one is watching over the process! Yes they say they are but ask Richard Elias the last time he inspected a growing area in Pima County or for that fact pulled an inspection on a grocery store or resturant to check for Pima County Health Compliance; you might be surprized!
So yes as we fight for Progressive Politics I would like to see our Food Supply secured and checked for Contamination and the basic laws protecting THE PEOPLE ENFORCED!
