Liberals will be found drinking and talking at the Shanty on 4th Ave. again this Thursday evening, beginning at 6pm.
This week our special guest will be Mike Hein, Tucson’s City Manager. I’m sure many of you haven’t yet met the fellow who now runs our fair city. In our City Manager-centric, civil-service-oriented city charter, the Manager has a great deal of influence over the daily administration of the city. Take this chance to come and meet with Mike in person.
Last week, we had some good fun. We had a champaign toast to the new Democratic majority, and a whole lot of other toasts following that one. We met some new friends, reconnected with some old ones, and even had some friends down from Phoenix who made the trip just to be with us at this happy time. If some folks will drive 4 hours to come to Drinking Liberally, what are you waiting for, a written invitation? Come on down. You won’t be sorry you did.

Someone had better buy me a glass of the bubbly stuff this week!
Please ask Mike Hein when The City of Tucson will be installing GENDER NEUTRAL Restrooms?
Tucson being a City Manager type of government with the Mayor only having one vote on The City Council and being a figurehead in name only; Mike Hein is more than anyone thinks. Steve Emerine and I dis-agree with with Mike Hein as a BIG SPENDER OF YOUR TAX DOLLARS WHILE KNOCKING DOWN A PRESIDENTIAL SALARY!
Are you proud of Tucson’s average wage sitting at $24,000 dollars a year while The Town of Oro Valley with 40,000 residents sits at $89,000 per year, with most if not all of the City Fathers, Council Mayor living in Oro Valley must speak volumes for where Tucson is headed both economically and now lagging in everthing from transportation to wages leaps and bounds behind Phoenix.
This Guy Mike Hein is “ON BOARD” for the Rio Nuevo RIP OFF and GIFFORDS LAND LEASE SWAP DEAL that is paying as much money to Giffords for a peice of EPA CONTAMINATED vacant land ,outside the Rio Nuevo District, than the County paid for the Bank of America building downtown ,complete with
We need more JERKS like Mike Hein!
