Ethan Orr: DeceptiCon

Orr sign
Dem? Green? Nope.

You will note that Republican candidate for state legislature Ethan Orr has signs up around the district. You can see one here.

There are are a few unusual things about them. They are blue and green, not the usual color choices for Republican candidates. More indicative of Dem and Green party candidates.

They also proclaim no party affiliation. When combined with the color choices, the impression one is left with is certainly not, “Oh, that’s a GOP candidate, clearly…” It’s almost as if Orr doesn’t want to be easily identified as a Republican in the Dem leaning district he’s running in. Is this conservative’s signage intentionally deceptive?

  1. Orr has repaired South Tucson’s economic Development Department, brought a SWAT department to South Tucson, and gained Federal recognition in doing so. Orr’s inovative aproach in South Tucson made his efforts the benchmark for other cities.
Orr is also in charge at Linkages. They put disabled people and now veterans together with employers. Orr is the only candidate that has put poeple to work directly by his efforts. HUNDREDS of people. Next time you see a proud disabled worker, know that Eathan Orr’s work directly got them that job.
I get it. Political partisanship mandates you cast all people not to the far left as evil therefore deserving of any libelous accusations you can imagine. But Orr is anything but decietful. His work has helped people directly. It has changed lives. It has made communities safer and more prosperous.

  2. Ethan Orr at one time was a Young Democrat, but changed party affiliations. The people I have talked to, both Democrats who have known Ethan since back in his YD days and Republicans, describe him as “naive.” Deceptive works well also.
