Description
“On Saturday, June 6th Librarians for Information Integrity will host “A Discussion with Tucson Journalists: Working in an Age of Unprecedented Challenges”.
This event will comprise of a panel of three local journalists who will discuss the importance of local media in covering news in an age of Artificial Intelligence, disinformation, and a lack of funding, amongst other pressing issues.
To join us in this discussion we have invited three esteemed journalists to make up the panel. David Lee, News Director from Arizona Public Media, Becky Pallack, Operations Executive and co-founder of Arizona Luminaria, and Dylan Smith, editor and co-publisher at the Tucson Sentinel.
This should be a captivating and informative discussion that can enlighten attendees on the practices of journalism and the challenges it faces in the modern age. Anyone who loves the news and wants a better understanding and insight into the mechanisms and workings of modern journalism should come down to this event.
The moderated discussion will last approximately an hour, leaving time at the end for the panel to take questions from the audience.
We hope to see you there for this unique and special event.”

Carolyn’s note: “Unprecedented Challenges”? I guess they mean President Donald Trump (R), I.C.E. raids & detention centers reminiscent of WWII, and the ongoing wars.
