Free festival to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month. Some are now calling it Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage month, which is a mouthful…but anyway, come taste the delicious Asian food at this festival and watch the diverse dance performances.
Carolyn’s note: As a Japanese American born/raised in Hawaii, I hope to attend, as our Southern AZ Japanese Cultural Coalition volunteers will be teaching origami and hanafuda card game. Suzuyuki kai Japanese traditional dancers will perform at 3 p.m., with taiko drumming at 4:05 p.m. See full schedule below for other Chinese, Korean, Asian Indian, Filipino and Hawaiian performances.
