Carolyn’s note: District 1 Supervisor Democrat Rex Scott was elected in Nov. 2020. He faces a challenge from political newcomer Jake Martin in the Dem primary on July 30, 2024. The winner will then face Republican Steve Spain, who lost to Scott in Nov. 2020 by 730 votes.
