Campaign Statement
I am a dedicated advocate for social justice and equity. My life’s work, spanning over 20 years in community development, program leadership, and organizational strategy, reflects an unwavering commitment to uplifting marginalized communities. My extensive experience within community-focused organizations has solidified my resolve to create meaningful change, witnessing firsthand the struggles working families face and the urgent need for equitable policies.
As a Democratic candidate, I fight for these working families, supporting policies prioritizing people over profits. I advocate for a living wage, ensuring a decent life for a full day’s work. I stand for the protection of vital social safety nets like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Believing healthcare is a fundamental human right, I will champion a Medicare for All system. I am committed to making public education a pathway to opportunity, not debt, and will work to eliminate student loan burdens.
Motivated by the dangerous consolidation of power in the executive branch and the erosion of democratic principles, I am running to represent Arizona’s District 7. My motto, People above politics,” drives my mission to build a government that truly serves all its citizens. I seek systemic change to achieve economic justice, protect our democracy, and ensure the needs of the many prevail over corporate interests. I am determined to give the marginalized a voice and fight for a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
