Join us in welcoming your new Democrats of Greater Tucson Board Members. After nominations closed on Dec. 9, there were 11 candidates for 11 open seats, so they will be elected by acclamation.

“Joe D” Daniszewski– President – Joe will serve his second term as President, which will be two years under the new Bylaws. He is a business consultant who is an elected Precinct Committee Member in LD18. Also active in Rotary, Joe speaks Spanish.
Michael Bryan – 1st Vice President for Programs is also serving his second term. Mike is a retired prosecuting attorney who has published the Blog for Arizona for 20 years. He is an elected PC in LD20, a former candidate for state legislature, and a former 1st Vice Chair in LD20.
Sherry Goncharsky – 2nd Vice President, Membership – She is an elected PC in LD18. Sherry is a tech host for the University of Arizona’s OLLI program. She has more than 30 years’ experience in software and computer systems with IBM.
Secretary – George Beverly – George will serve his second term. He is the 1st Chair of LD23. George is also a Board Secretary of the African American Democratic Caucus-Tucson, Vice Chair Education Committee (NAACP-Tucson), a member of the Arizona African American Democratic Caucus and on the Board of Directors of Boys To Men Tucson.
Treasurer – Tim Sultan – is also serving a second term, and in 2009 was the Program Director of DGT. Tim led SolarCity’s participation in pro-solar ballot proposition in 2018 and in 2019, and led the Arizona Dispensary Association’s participation in Prop 207, which legalized adult-use marijuana in 2020.
Member At Large Susie Anderson is the previous 2d Vice President for Membership of DGT, and grew our membership to more than 200 people, making DGT the largest Democratic club/PAC. She is an elected PC in LD20.
Member At Large Kalyanraman Bharathan is starting his second term. He has served on the LD21 board and the Pima County Democratic Party. Bharathan has also been on the State Board of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Caucus of the Party.
Member At Large Maria Parsons is starting her second term. In 2024 she worked as Regional Organizing Director at the Arizona Democratic Party. Maria is a former Corresponding Secretary for the Pima County Democratic Party. She is an elected PC in LD19.
Member At Large Tre Davon Rhodes is a freshman at the University of Arizona, an intern with Tucson Councilman Paul Cunningham and is an after-school teacher at La Paloma Academy’s central campus. Tre is also a member of the African American Democratic Caucus of Tucson.
Member At Large Chris Greenleaf – is a graduate student at the University of Arizona, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education. By this time next year, he plans to be a Social Studies teacher in Tucson. An Eagle Scout, Chris graduated in 2023 from Arizona State University with high honors.
Member At Large Chris Cosico is studying politics, business and religion at Catholic University of America-Tucson while also serving as Director of Programs for the Arizona College Democrats. After working as an EMT, Chris became the Regional Organizing Director for the Harris/Walz coordinated campaign in Tucson.
