Carolyn’s note: Current Councilmember in Ward 6 is place holder Karin Uhlich, appointed to this seat in May, 2024. Karin had served 3 terms as the Ward 3 Councilmember. Former long term Ward 6 Councilmember Steve Kozachik had resigned to take a job with Pima County. Miranda had also applied for the appointment to this seat in the Spring of 2024, and had run for it in the 3 way Dem Primary of August 2021. She is half Chinese American.

Ward 3, 5 and 6 Council seats are up for election this year. Dem incumbents Kevin Dahl serves Ward 3, and incumbent Richard Fimbres serves Ward 5, but he has decided to not seek re-election, so that will be an open seat as well.
