As a native of Tucson, Sylvia attended TUSD schools and received her associate’s degree from Pima Community College, baccalaureate and master’s degrees from the University of Arizona and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Arizona State University.
Sylvia’s career in higher education at universities and community colleges spanned 30 years. She served as president at two PCC campuses. (Northwest & Community Campus)
She was elected to a six-year term on the Pima Community College (PCC) Governing Board from January 2013 to December 2018, also representing District 3.”
Carolyn’s note: Sylvia Lee is an Asian American and is of Anglo/Chinese/Japanese ethnicity and a member of the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center. I personally know her and her family. She was appointed to this one year position in December, 2023 and said she will not be running for the D 3 seat in 2024.
