Andrés Cano is the Pima County Supervisor for District 5, representing Tucson’s midtown, downtown, west and south sides, and the Pascua Yaqui Nation. A lifelong Tucsonan and first-generation college graduate, Supervisor Cano has built a record of delivering results across local and state government. As Minority Leader in the Arizona House of Representatives, he played a central role in negotiating a bipartisan $18 billion state budget—securing historic investments in affordable housing, health care, and water security. Now Supervisor Cano is focused on tackling poverty in Pima County, creating high-paying jobs, expanding access to pre-school, and protecting our neighborhoods and Sonoran Desert. Supervisor Cano received his Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School in 2024.”
Carolyn’s note: Andres was appointed to District 5 Pima County Supervisor seat in April, 2025. He is running unopposed for election in Nov. 2026. Andres served for 4 years in Arizona House of Representatives (2019 to 2023).
