Carolyn’s note: Rex Scott is serving in his 2nd term for District 1 on Pima County Bd. of Supervisors. He defeated Republican Steve Spain twice in Nov. 2020 and 2024.

Previous scheduled speaker was Councilman Paul Cunningham who was appointed to his Ward 2 seat in May, 2010, then elected 2011, 2015, 2019, 2023. He must have just declined due to the death of his father former State Senator George Cunningham this week, at age 85.
