Special LD 17 Happy Hour with DGT

“TheDGT.org and Legislative District 17 are partnering up to bring you a very special in-person Happy Hour event on Weds, May 27th at 4-6pm at Brother John’s Beer. Bourbon, and BBQ! We were so darn pleased with the enthusiasm and energy at our last partnered Happy Hour with Vets Forward, we decided to do another one with Arizona’s Legislative District 17 to focus on our fantastic slate of Democratic candidates for the Arizona State House and Senate in that district. Come and join us to meet these wonderful folks who are going to turn the Arizona legislature Blue this fall!

Carolyn’s note: LD 17 Senate is an open seat with retirement of Republican Senator Vince Leach. Edgar Soto ran for District 3 Pima County Supervisor in July 2024 Dem primary (came in 2nd in 4 way race). He will face off in the General Election with the winner of the July 21 Republican primary.
Incumbent Dem LD 17 Rep. Kevin Volk holds one of the House seats, so Dem Holly Lyon is trying to unseat current 2nd term Republican Rachel Jones Keshel for that other seat. Lyon ran for a House seat in then-LD 11 in 2014.
Current voter stats for LD 17: Dems 51,352, Republicqns 69,636, Independents 60, 613.
