Carolyn’s note: Steve Kozachik aka “Steve K” served as Ward 6 Councilman from Dec. 2009 to March 2024. He resigned to work for Pima County, where he is now Director of Pima Animal Care Center.
Democrats running for Tucson City Council in Ward 3: one term incumbent Kevin Dahl, in Ward 5 political newcomer Selina Barajas, in Ward 6 Miranda Schubert who challengeed Steve K in the 3 way Dem primary of August 2021. Dahl & Schubert have Republican opponents, Barajas is running unopposed, will be first Latina to serve in the Ward 5 Council seat, following long term Councilmen Steve Leal and Richard Fimbres.
Vote wisely on or before Nov. 4, 2025.
