Talk on WWII German POW Fritz Haber’s complete diary
June 19, 2024 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm MST
by Carolyn Classen, blogger

This is a harrowing tale of survival & deprivation in post-Nazi Germany in American Prisoner of War camps for 16 months. My UA Professor husband Albrecht Classen translated it and I assisted in editing it, published by the grandson of the German soldier. This book is available on amazon.com.
From book review on amazon.com: “Stories such as his prompt an exploration of our family histories and their untold narratives. They illuminate themes of resilience and survival, morality and choice. Even when these tales harbor discomfort or controversy, they possess the power to enlighten us and offer valuable guidance for our present actions. His steadfast and unyielding belief in his survival gave him the faith that he would be reunited with his family one day. Having endured physical and emotional challenges, his story is a timeless, powerful source of inspiration 75 years later and will resonate with future generations.”
