Carolyn’s note: Jennifer, an incumbent elected in Nov. 2022, is running for re-election on the TUSD Governing Board, as is the other incumbent Val Romero. Four others have expressed interest in running, and the filing deadline is July 6, at 5 p.m. These are non partisan positions and 2 are up for election in Nov. 2026.

Jennifer is the former Mayor of South Tucson, daughter of retired District 2 Pima County Supervisor Dan Eckstrom (D). She was also Chief of Staff for former District 2 Pima County Supervisor Ramon Valadez (D).

Jojo’s restaurant is the former La Cocina, downtown.
