Ex-Intel CEO Craig Barrett, Board member of K12 Inc., President and Chairman of BASIS Schools and head of Jan Brewer's AREC (Arizona Ready Education Council), said in an interview with Neil Cavuto on FOX News Wednesday, "GM and Chrysler should have gone bankrupt."
"GM and Chrysler should have gone bankrupt and saved the taxpayers the equity, all the money we've put in which we'll never get out. The only people who benefited from those bankruptcies were the union employees."
Cavuto replied, "Well said."
Statements like this are worth remembering when people think of Barrett as a thoughtful voice on education issues. He's a hard line, anti-labor conservative who would like to see our schools privatized and profitized. Everything else is window dressing.

The real question is “Was Craig Barrett’s statement true or false?”
