FAUX News: “The Opposite of Reality”

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

FAUX News contributor and Neocon douchebag Charles Krauthammer has plagiarized GOP talking points and presented them as his own opinion once again today in the Arizona Daily Star in this piece recaptioned by the Daily Star Why Americans have panned Obamacare 'show'. (The original Neocon Washington Post caption is Onward with Obamacare, regardless).

First, that's some serious editorial rewrite even more biased than the original caption. Does FAUX News edit the Arizona Daily Star opinion page? Second, doesn't plagiarizing GOP talking points and presenting them as your own opinion violate some kind of journalistic ethics? Or is "journalistic ethics" just an oxymoron nowadays? It would seem so.

The GOP talking points on the FAUX News propaganda machine have been documented by Media Matters, which assembled a long list of Ramming and Jamming from Republicans and their friends in the media. David Safier posted about it in Dr. Word: Republicans' Ram, Jam, Thank you, ma'am.

But Jon Stewart and The Daily Show destroys the GOP talking points and the FAUX News propaganda machine in two segments aired this week. The first segment is "Red Menace," a play of words on the over-hyped "red menace" of socialized medicine. The last card in the Republican deck to stop health care reform will be "the Rapture."

The next segment is "anchor management" in which Stewart mocks FAUX News glamour girl Megyn Kelly for the alleged seperation between FAUX News (hard news) and FAUX opinion (infotainment). That's "the opposite of reality." It's all propaganda, all the time.
