From the Mall

First shots of the Occupy the Capitol encampment.

We're talking big, beautiful tents here, a fair number of them in the middle of the Mall (around 14th and Constitution, if you know the city). A meeting tent, cafeteria tent, registration tent, many others. I haven't wandered in and out of the whole thing, but it's well organized in a we-don't quite-know-what-we're-doing-yet kind of a way. Tomorrrow I'm scheduled to go with a contingent to meet with Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.
