If we thought 2020 was an important election, the stakes are even higher now. The 2022 midterm elections are critical because our democracy is on the line. Republicans who sought to overturn the 2020 election results are running for offices up and down the ballot.
No Republican should be elected to office who believes in the BIG LIE, who was involved in any way with the insurrection, or who believes QAnon is real.
- Do you want Mark Finchem counting, or not counting, your votes?
- Do you want a Governor who is chummy with QAnon?
- Do you want Vince Leach to be your State Senator representing LD17?
We must get this message out to the voters so that we can hold on to the US House and Senate and make sure Arizona finally turns blue.
We need you to get back in the trenches with us. If you are a PC or a volunteer who is still sitting on the sidelines, please jump back in and help. If you care about what is happening in our state and our country, we want your help too. Attend your new LD’s monthly general meetings to learn more about what is going on. Volunteer with a campaign. Talk to your friends, family and neighbors. If we all pitch in we can make the difference.
Our work for the 2022 election starts this weekend, with a canvassing and calling project that targets Democrats, and left-leaning independents, who missed the last midterm election. If you haven’t already, please sign up for this project at this link: https://forms.gle/bgdTBvYu6jMY9yGm6
Please don’t think that you sit this project out because other people will get involved. What if everyone was waiting for that other person to do it?
We all need to help elect Democrats. Your action matters.
Organizational meetings for the new Democratic legislative district committees
Arizona law provides that after redistricting creates new legislative districts, the party committees for the new legislative districts are formed at organizational meetings for each new LD. At these meetings, the chair, two vice-chairs, a secretary and a treasurer are elected by the PCs living in the new LD. See A.R.S. 16-823 https://www.azleg.gov/ars/16/00823.htm.
