Swift Boat Liar Jerome Corsi’s latest fictional work of lies and character assassination, Obama Nation, has been denounced as a collection of lies, innuendo and rumor by members of the responsible (relatively speaking) news media.  Media Matters – Media denounce Corsi’s anti-Obama book  This of course does not include Fox Propaganda News where Corsi will be appearing as a regular guest on its programs from now until Election Day.  (Doesn’t this violate FCC broadcast license requirements?  Maybe someone should file an FCC complaint.)

One of the chief financial backers of the Swift Boat Liars in 2004, T. Boone Pickens Swift Boat Veterans for Truth/Funding – SourceWatch, is holding an energy conference at the Aspen Institute this weekend.  John McCain met with T. Boone Pickens on Friday in Aspen. After he emerged from the meeting, a reporter asked McCain his reaction to the new Jerome Corsi book, "Obama Nation."

"Gotta keep your sense of humor," McCain responded, before his aides shuttled reporters away.

Oh, Really?  So much for your honor and integrity, senator.  No denunciation of this smear book?  Well let’s test your sense of humor Johnny Mac.

Where was your sense of humor when you were viciously smeared by Karl Rove in the South Carolina GOP primary in 2000 by this group Vietnam Veterans Against John McCain. Well, theeeey’re baaaack!  And they still hate your guts.  Are you laughing now, chucklehead?

And I seem to recall that you were momentarily critical of the Swift Boat Liars and actually defended John Kerry against their smears while you were still flirting with the idea of becoming his vice president on a unity ticket.  You can try to deny this to your conservative base, but they know the facts are the facts, and conservatives have not forgotten nor forgiven.  Your mancrush on George W. Bush to get him reelected in 2004 was not enough to remove the reasonable suspicion and doubts of conservatives.  Some of these conservatives are not laughing with you, they’re laughing at you Johnny.

And we all remember this this hilarious joke from the McCain campaign earlier this year McCain Pledged To Run "Respectful Campaign Focused on Issues" – Yahoo! News:

"It is critical, as we prepare to face off with whomever the Democrats select as their nominee, that we all follow John’s lead and run a respectful campaign focused on the issues and values that are important to the American people," Davis wrote. "Throughout the primary election we saw John McCain reject the type of politics that degrade our civics, and this will not change as he prepares to run head-to-head against the Democratic nominee."

Added Cindy McCain in May: "What you’re going to see is a great debate. Which is what the American public deserves. None of this negative stuff, though. You won’t see it come out of our side at all."

I laughed so hard I nearly cracked a rib.  I can’t believe the McMedia fell for this.  They obviously have never seen McCain’s House and Senate campaigns in Arizona.

What has happened to the honorable campaign McCain pledged to run? Turns out that the Swift Boat Liars are McCain’s BFF friends now that he is the GOP presumptive nominee.  There is no honor among thieves and liars.
