Pedophile-in-Chief Donald Trump was informed by Attorney General Pam Bondi in May that his name appeared multiple times in files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to a bombshell report The Wall Street Journal published today (7-23-25).
Bondi and her deputy informed the president that Justice Department (DOJ) officials had reviewed what she described as a “truckload” of documents on Epstein and discovered that the president’s name appeared multiple times, according to the report, which cited senior administration officials.
The cover-up begins
“There’s no longer any doubt that the Trump administration is engaged in a full-scale cover-up surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein files,” said Taegan Goddard in his Political Wire newsletter. “The cover-up reaches the White House, the Justice Department, the FBI, the intelligence community, and Republican leaders in Congress. And at the center of it all is President Trump.”
They also told Trump that senior Justice Department officials didn’t plan to release any more documents related to the investigation of the convicted sex offender because the material contained child pornography and victims’ personal information, the officials said. Trump said at the meeting he would defer to the Justice Department’s decision to not release any further files.
Bondi and the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, said nothing in the files warranted further investigation or prosecution. “As part of our routine briefing, we made the President aware of the findings,” they said.
“Wait, do you guys think this is why they are withholding the documents?!,” Rep. Greg Landsman (D-Ohio) said in a tongue-in-cheek social media post.
“Donald Trump is the biggest swamp monster of them all right now,” Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) wrote on X in response to the Journal story. “Release the Epstein files.”
“Release the files,” former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on X.
The story that won’t die
Child molester Jeffrey Epstein regularly visited Trump’s Mar-a-Lago at one point. CNN reported on Tuesday that new images of the men, including Epstein attending Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples, were released.
Last week, Trump directed Bondi to seek the release of grand jury transcripts from the Epstein investigation. That effort hit a setback on Wednesday, when a federal judge in Florida rejected one of DOJ’s bids to unseal the transcripts.
On July 7, the Department of Justice released a memo lying there was no “client list” and said officials did not plan to disclose additional files. The memo set off a torrent of criticism from the president’s own base of supporters — who had long called for the release of documents on Epstein — and from Democrats, who seized the opportunity to add to the president’s negative coverage.
For the last 16 days, the Epstein saga has blotted out the sun of breaking news inside Washington.
Johnson Shutting Down House to Block Epstein Vote
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said he would shut the House down early for its summer recess to head off Democratic demands for votes on calling for the release of files from the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, the New York Times reports. Now, the storyline is threatening to break out of the bubble and follow congressional Republicans back to their districts,” said Adam Wren and Dasha Burns of the Playbook podcast.
“The Epstein storyline promises to eclipse everything else in the Washington news cycle for many more days to come. Back home in their districts, Republican members may well see the issue burn up any oxygen they might otherwise use to sell their perceived wins in the Big Beautiful Bill,” they said, “Expect tense town halls and in-district dynamics for members.”
“It’s very clear that there are going to be a lot of people asking a lot of questions over recess when they get back home.”
