I posted earlier about Pastor Steven Anderson saying in a sermon titled, Why I Hate Barack Obama,
You see, any Christian will tell you that someone who commits murder should get the death penalty.

Nope. I'm not gonna pray for his good. I'm going to pray that he dies and goes to hell.
I also mentioned that Chris Broughton, the guy who toted a rifle to the Phoenix demonstration outside the building where Obama spoke, is a parishioner of the pastor and attended that sermon the previous night.
Now Broughton is weighing in.
And when a reporter followed up with, "you're not advocating violence against the president?" Broughton, who has previously said his weapons are for defense, says "I'm not going to answer that question directly."
"I don't care how God does it, I'm not going into further detail than that," Broughton says. "It would be better now than later."
"I'm not going to answer that question directly." Once again, let me repeat, this stuff and these people scare the hell out of me.

I nobama180 do not understand why 57% of the American people do not like my Administration; I have selected Socialists; registered Communists;known terrorists; invionmental radicals and members of The Black Liberation Army to serve with me in The White House as Czars that are not accountable to Congress or The People for anything they do?!
I have spent (4)Four times the National Debt under Bush just 10 months ago and my projections of a few weeks ago are only off TWO TRILLION DOLLARS;(projected now to be 20 trillion in DEBT in just a few years) Nationalized everything I could think of; in the name of the children!
We all need to “Step Up and pay our fair share” now to be over 100 Trillion Dollars and counting!
Don’t think about anything just do what I say!
I don’t see why any excerpt from the Declaration of Independence should be worrisome but I imagine my worries differ from others.
Of course if you want some suggestions for how to minimize the anti-Obama crowd’s antipathy, I’ll offer you some:
Persuade him to drop his campaign for socialized medicine for all (by whatever name: single payer plan).
Persuade him to stop bailing out every group (company, union, bank) that asks.
Persuade him to stop borrowing money like dollars are going out of style.
That being said I do sincerely hope Mr. Obama heeds my suggestions, goes on to a fantastically successful term or two as President, waives off his Secret Service entitlements after his terms are over (because he isn’t forcing government on people so few people exhibit irritation about his politics) and goes on to outlive all previous US presidents.

So it sounds to me like people at the governmental level are concerned, as they should be. And I wonder why you’re surprised I’m “concerned, agitated or worried” about the fact that a number of people are saying openly that they would like to see Obama dead. Obama had so many death threats against him when he was trying to get the Democratic nomination, the secret service gave him more protection than has ever been given to someone who hadn’t even been nominated by his party. When these sentiments are given such casual public expression today, it definitely worries me.
And Thane, your use of that passage from the Declaration of Independence to justify all this simply confirms my fears about the general mood of the anti-Obama crowd.
Mr. Safier, If your name was Barack Obama or you were employed by the US government as security staff for the person of the President I could see being concerned, agitated or worried about this Arizona rifle owner.
The fact is that you are not the President and so I fail to understand why you are scared to the very edge. I don’t see the President or his staff expressing the level of near hysteria that you or the media has brought to this issue.
Frankly the television employees seems to be egging on the rifle owner with his leading question.
This all comes down to what behavior, as set out in the Declaration of Independence, warrants …”That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it”… or indeed if the Declaration of Independence no longer applies (for whatever reason).
Disclaimer: I think advocating violence toward a government official is foolish and likely to result in imprisonment and death.
