Over the last week, there has been increased Anti Semitic activity against Muslim and Jewish Houses of worship across the country.
In Phoenix, one despicable individual vandalised the Islamic Center at 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road by shooting pellet bullets at the Mosque and cars parked in the center lot during Ramadan.
Reacting to the shooting, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego posted this:
Representative and former Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton echoed Gallego in his below post:
“Hateful attacks like this are unacceptable. I have been briefed by the @PhoenixPolice Chief on the incident and I have asked that Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler increase patrols around local mosques so families can continue to worship safely throughout Ramadan.”
Yesterday, another derranged individual decided to ram his vehicle through the front door of the Temple Israel Synagogue in Michigan.
Fortunately, no innocent congregants lost their lives.
Reacting to this act of domestic terrorism, Arizona Representative and former Phoenix Vice Mayor Yassamin Ansari posted:
Representative Stanton also commented on the Synagogue attack, posting:
“I’m sickened by the antisemitic attack at Temple Israel in Michigan. We are indebted to the security guards who acted quickly to subdue the shooter and protect over 100 children and staff in the preschool. Jewish families must have safety in their homes, their schools, and their places of worship. Antisemitic hate must be called out before it escalates.”
One thing should be clear.
There is never ever any justification for violence against innocent people, no matter what ethnic or religious group they belong to.
This is the United States of America.
Its people are supposed to be better than what these two lowlives did.
