A new coalition called Americans for Stable Quality Care — which includes the American Medical Association, PhRMA, and groups like SEIU and FamiliesUSA — will launch their first pro-reform ad later today as part of an August recess campaign that's expected to cost $12 million. The ad will run in districts of key congressional centrists, whose support for reform will be vital to its success. (Not in Arizona) Massive campaign for Obama hits air – POLITICO.com
PhRMA has recently been involved in a dispute over an agreement with the White House, but it will continue to participate in this and other pro-reform activities, and plans to spend as much as $150 million in support of health insurance reform.
