The unlikely quote in the headline is from Rep. Frank Antenori (R, LD-30), according to the Arizona Guardian. Remember his statements about Tucson being full of hippies and commies? He's unhappy with Fitz's Feb. 14 cartoon lampooning his comments. He figures he's been misrepresented.
So what do you do when you're made fun of in a cartoon on the editorial page?
You advise people to cancel subscriptions and stop buying ads.
"I didn't start this war but I'll give them a war," he said Wednesday afternoon. "I love war."
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you your calm, thoughtful legislators who you can trust to consider the bills put before them carefully and vote in a rational manner.

Funny thing is, I had missed the paper that day and would have missed that cartoon if Antenori’s comments hadn’t called my attention to it.
What’s up with the major hissy fit? Rep. Antenori – you don’t have time to go to ‘war’ with our local paper. You were elected to represent a rather large number of people who are worried about their jobs, their schools and our economy. Please come back to Rational-ville and save the temper tantrums for another day.

For those of you who have not seen Commies and Hippies in Tucson on the Northwest side near where the Democratic District 26 club meets;go to Rudasill road a few blocks South and drive another few blocks to see a 50 foot high by 10 foot hig L O V E sign posted on the roof of two hippies house that are not married with a P E A C E sign in the middile of the O !!
