Remembering the Suppressed History of 9/11 and Israel

Very odd. Following 9/11, over 200 Israelis were arrested, identified as likely Mossad agents, and eventually deported. The deportations without espionage charges aren’t unusual, Israeli spying in the U.S., and vis-versa, are by gentlemen’s agreement not prosecuted as such and treated as immigration status issues. That is the way it has been for many years. What is odd is the sheer number of Israeli spies discovered – by far the largest spy ring ever discovered in America – and the fact that it recieved such limited attention. Even stranger is the very limited attention given the fact that many of these agents seemed to be shadowing Al Qaeda operatives implicated in the attacks of 9/11.

"According to a 61-page report, drafted after an investigation by the
DEA and the US immigration service, the Israelis were organised into
cells of four to six people. The significance of what the Israelis were
doing didn’t emerge until after September 11, 2001, when a report by a
French intelligence agency noted “according to the FBI, Arab terrorists
and suspected terror cells lived in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as in
Miami and Hollywood, Florida, from December 2000 to April 2001 in
direct proximity to the Israeli spy cells”.

The report contended
that Mossad agents were spying on Mohammed Atta and Marwan al-Shehi,
two of leaders of the 9/11 hijack teams. The pair had settled in
Hollywood, Florida, along with three other hijackers, after leaving
Hamburg – where another Mossad team was operating close by."

Now, this doesn’t mean that Israelis were responsible for 9/11, I don’t see any evidence for that. But it does mean that Mossad may have been well ahead of our FBI and CIA in monitoring the Al Qaeda cells and failed to warn us for whatever reason. Or maybe, they didn’t fail to warn us. There are allegations that the German intel agency (BND) warned the White House of an impending attack by commercial airliners on 9/11 based on intercepts from the Israeli embassy in Germany. Most extraordinary, Bush reportedly thanked the German Ambassador and said he already knew.

Here is a Fox News report by Bush bootlicker Carl Cameron (no lefty moonbat conspiracist he) about the arrest of Mossad agents immediately following 9/11. Oddly, all of the following four-part Fox News series on Israeli espionage in the United States have been removed from Fox’s servers.

Here is the second about possible Israeli data-mining that so closely resembles that in which our own government is now engaged. A large portion of Bush’s illegal wiretapping program (which has not been ruled on by the courts because too little is known about it) is a data-mining program which seeks patterns in telephonic meta-data (who called whom) to find terrorist activity. What I find really extraordinary is how quickly and completely this story dropped off the media radar. It’s almost as if the Bush Administration found the Israelis doing this and thought, "Hmmm. That would be really useful. Hey, Israel! Let’s make a deal…" The terms of such a deal seem obvious. Israel gets to keep its program as long as it shares it’s data with the Administration. The word then goes out to deep-six any further investiation or reporting on the Israeli program.

And a third report in the series outlining use of backdoors into domestic law enforcement tapping equipment by an Israeli company with close ties to the Israeli government. Now isn’t it extraordinary that his major gapping hole in American national security and our domestic law enforcement capability also just dropped off the map?

The worst travesty of all is that there is not even the barest mention of even the most publicized and well-sourced of the ties between Israeli espionage and the events surrounding 9/11 in the 9/11 Commission Report. It completely ignores the 200+ Mossad agents being arrested right after 9/11. It ignores the fact that those Mossad agents were living in close proximity to Al Qaeda cells. It ingores all reports of odd and provocative behavior by Israeli agents who are arrested in NYC celebrating the strikes on the towers. The omissions from the official version of events are glaring and remain just an unexplained and marginalized ‘conspiracy theorist’ factoid fully 5 years after the attack changed American security policy.

I hope that someday the full truth of how and why all those people died on 9/11/01 will be known. I feel quite sure that we still don’t have the full story. The right wing is even now doing its best to re-write the history of the Clinton Administration, via its fictional account of 9/11 airing today on ABC, to shift the blame for 9/11 away from those on whose watch it occured. That sort of historical revisionism demonstrates that the truth means nothing to these people. They’ll stop at nothing to conceal the truth: it’s the thing that most threatens their power and control. Do you truly think that the 9/11 Commission Report, authored under the direction of Bush crony Philip Zelikow, would include the truth? Think again. Question everything.
