The Apache County Board of Supervisors has appointed a Democratic successor to replace Legislative District (LD) Seven State Representative Arlando Teller who has taken a position with the Biden/Harris Administration. Apac
She is Jasmine Blackwater-Nygren, a resident of the Navajo Nation and alumni of both Stanford and Arizona State University Law.

In a statement to the media, Ms. Blackwater-Nygren relayed:
“I’m really excited to work with everybody in this district. I’m ready to get to work and will do my best to represent all people of Arizona’s Legislative District 7.”
The Arizona Democratic Party and Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee released a joint statement which partially read:
“…We congratulate Representative Blackwater-Nygren and know she will serve the constituents of Legislative District 7 well. We look forward to working with her and wish her the best of luck in her new role.”
