This Thursday, Las
Adelitas Arizona is holding a breakfast reception celebrating
Latina involvement in 2010! The featured speaker is Congresswoman
Lucille Roybal-Allard of California's 34th district. In 1992,
Congresswoman Roybal-Allard became the first Mexican-American woman
elected to Congress. She was also the first Latina in U.S. history
to be appointed to the House Appropriations Committee. For more
