More inhumanity and cruelty from the “Let Them Starve” Trump Project 2025 Fascist Regime.

Armed with an inexplicable temporary pause/stay from Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Trump officials at the Agriculture Department after telling all 50 states to proceed with processing full payments to SNAP payments are now demanding those states to either suspend the program deposits or grab back part of the funds that have been distributed.

According to reporting from the New York Times, the “Let Them Starve” Trump Agriculture Department has threatened states with penalties, stating:

“States could lose access to some federal money to manage the SNAP program if they failed to comply, and may be “liable” for funding full benefits that the federal government did not authorize.”

What a disservice to public service.

Meanwhile Donald Trump, rather than working on ending the government shutdown to stop people not with six figure salaries suffering was spotted playing golf in Florida.

Yesterday, while 42 million Americans, including millions of children were not getting their six dollars a day to buy food, the return to the Gilded Age President, he had another dinner party at Mara Largo.

It is really contemptible that he dozes off at official events rather than on the golf course or dinner table.

Reacting to “Let Them Starve” Trump’s Project 2025 latest move into long termist cruelty, Arizona Representative Yassamin Ansari wrote on social media:

“Trump’s @USDA just told states to “undo” full SNAP benefits—and threatened to punish them if they keep feeding families. They are intentionally starving Americans while Trump plays golf and throws lavish parties for billionaires. It’s unconscionable. And we won’t let it stand.”

After the Supreme Court pause, Senator Mark Kelly posted:

“President Trump needs to fund SNAP. Stop using hungry kids as leverage and do the right thing so parents can put food on the table.”

Richie Taylor, Communications Director for Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes commented to Blog for Arizona:

“Attorney General Mayes believes the Trump administration should stop playing games with people’s lives and fully fund SNAP so families can feed themselves.”

Later, the Attorney General commented to the Blog:

We are not going to let the Trump administration bully Arizonans or use them as political pawns. People’s lives are not a game. Donald Trump should fully fund SNAP so children and families don’t go hungry. We will keep fighting to ensure Arizonans who rely on SNAP can access their benefits.”

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs also released a statement expressing her disgust with “Let Them Starve” Trump and his Project 2025 Governments cruelty, offering:

“On Friday, countless Arizonans breathed a sigh of relief when the USDA issued guidance indicating they would begin the process to distribute SNAP food assistance in full. Families who were on the brink were given a few hours of comfort knowing that chaos in Washington, DC would not stop them from putting food on the table this November.

“This weekend, those same families are experiencing yet more whiplash and confusion as the Trump administration demanded those benefits be retracted and callously challenged a court order that told them to do the right thing: pay SNAP benefits in full. It’s disgraceful that this administration is doing everything in its power to withhold assistance and take food off the tables of Arizona’s seniors, veterans, and families. It’s time for this to come to an end.

President Trump and Secretary Rollins need to do the right thing, stop with the endless, confusing directives, and deliver certainty to our state and our families by fully funding SNAP benefits for November. Arizona families are sick and tired of being used as political leverage by politicians in Washington, DC who don’t give a damn about the problems faced by them and their families.

“I understand the uncertainty and fear faced by so many Arizonans at this moment. They don’t want to turn to programs like SNAP, but they’ve run into tough economic times and they need some help to get back up on their feet. They shouldn’t watch their children go hungry because politicians have failed, they should be protected from the fallout from our federal government’s dysfunction. It’s about time President Trump shows some leadership and protects working families in Arizona.”

Honestly, all 49 other Governors in this country, like Governor Hobbs, should be disgusted with what this Fascist Project 2025 Trump “Let Them Starve” regime and they should tell him and his MAGA Billionaire First Zealots to go to Hell until the First Circuit Court of Appeals releases its opinion and Justice Jackson releases her temporary stay and makes a permanent judgment.

Trump’s incompetent, cruel, and inhumane regime has already done enough damage to vulnerable Americans, including millions of children, who because of them, lack resources to buy groceries.

Governors should wait until the courts make a final decision.
