Six of the “Jim Click Eight” and their merry band of supporters took their message to Saturday’s football game between the Wildcats and Oklahoma State University. We set up a large banner on the sidewalk between the tailgate party and the street.
Supposedly, the fans love Click. We encouraged them to ask him to stop funding Congressman Juan Ciscomani because Ciscomani voted for Trump’s budget bill. That bill made huge cuts to veterans’ healthcare, Medicaid, SNAP, medical research and more.
According to the Federal Election Commission, Jim and Vicki Click have already contributed $140,500 to Ciscomani’s 2026 election campaign.
We figured Click would attend the game, since he graduated from OSU and played on its football team back in the day. Sure enough, a woman who said she was Click’s niece stopped by with a dog in her arms to tell us that Click’s feelings are hurt.
Jim, there’s an easy way to keep the fans devoted to you: stop bankrolling Ciscomani!
Other highlights of the morning included the arrival of three giant white buses with a police escort (presumably carrying the OSU team) and the very smartly dressed UA marching band walking past us across Campbell, playing a rousing tune in front of a house on the corner. We later learned that an important donor lives in that house.
