Makes sense to me

Blake Schritter is Chair of the Arizona Federation of College Republicans. Young Democrats of Arizona think that's a bad idea. I agree.

Blake Schritter, of the "drunkenbs" tweets — yes, that's really his Twitter name — resigned from his staff position in Rep. Paul Gosar's district office after his tweeted rants were made public. The two most egregious:

“I can’t believe how unprofessional liberal professors can be. I’m sitting here, cleaning my gun, thinking…this is a classroom!!!”

“The line at the post office is moving at a glacial pace. I’m ready to open fire with a handgun to get some damn service!”

But Schritter is still chair of the Arizona Federation of College Republicans. YDA's comment:

As young leaders in our communities, we must set an example for those we lead. Such language should not be tolerated.

At a time when our state is just healing from gun violence, we certainly should not take lightly any suggestions of violence toward others.

It's time for Blake to go.

YDA urges you to sign a petition asking for Schritter's ouster. But when I tried, it wanted me to create an account and password, so I didn't do it. [Suggestion to YDA: if the petition looks like a ploy to get more members, it defeats its purpose as a petition. Remove the password requirement.]
