Monday, March 28, 1:00 PM
Jacome Plaza, in front of the Joel D. Valdez Main Library
101 North Stone Avenue
Tucson, AZ 85701

The National Drive to Fix Gun Checks kicked off in the wake of the Tucson shooting with one simple message: We need to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.

Since then, more than a quarter million Americans have signed our petition to Fix Gun Checks, and President Obama has made fixing background checks a national priority, calling for reforms that would make the system instant, accurate and comprehensive.

The Fix Gun Checks Act of 2011 has been introduced in the Senate and will soon be introduced in the House of Representatives.

Right now, we need to keep up the pressure to ensure that Congress hears our message and passes this critical legislation that will stop these senseless shootings.

Come to the Fix Gun Checks rally on Monday in Tucson.

Thank you,

–Mayors Against Illegal Guns
