Memorial Services Begin For The Victims

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson will hold a mass for the victims on Tuesday, January 11 at Saint Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo del Norte, at 7:00 p.m.

A memorial event entitled "Together We Thrive: Tucson and America" will be held on Wednesday, January 12 at the McKale Center on the University of Arizona, at 6:00 p.m. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m. Photo ID is required for security clearance.

The memorial service for Christina Taylor Green will be held on Thursday, January 13 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 8560 N. Shannon Road, at 1:00 p.m., according to the Tucson Sentinel. http://www.tucsonsentinel.com/local/report/011011_green_funeral. Bishop Gerald Kicanas is expected to preside over the Catholic service.

From Carolyn Classen at the Tucson Citizen, Christina Green’s memorial service scheduled: The family of Christina Taylor Green, killed in the tragic shooting in Tucson on Saturday, January 8, 2011, has announced the creation of a charitable memorial fund to honor the life and memory of this special little girl. The fund will be held by the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Christina Taylor Green may do so by:

UPDATE: The Los Angeles Dodgers have created a memorial fund for 9-year-old Arizona shooting victim Christina-Taylor Green and provided addresses where people can send condolences.

Condolences can be sent to greenfamily@dodgers.com or to Dodger Stadium, c/o the Green Family, 1000 Elysian Park Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90090.

The Community Food Bank of Tucson has established a fund for anyone wishing to honor Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Donations to the Gabrielle Giffords Hunger Fund can be made at: www.communityfoodbank.org or by calling (520) 622-0525.

UPDATE: A scholarship fund has been established in slaying victim John M. Roll's name to help students attending the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona.

The State Bar of Arizona and the UA announced Wednesday that they have established the fund. UA law college scholarship set up in Roll's name.
