(UPDATED)More Proof that Trump Relied on People Being Uninformed to Achieve Victory

Last week, I wrote a post that offered the position that voters need a better understanding of history, government, and economics in order to make well informed decisions about who are the best candidates for office.

While that does not guarantee the right candidate will win, (proof of that is most Battleground Senate Candidates like Ruben Gallego in Arizona and propositions like the right to reproductive freedom prevailing in the Grand Canyon State while Vice President Harris lost,) it is far better to have voters who are well informed on current events than falling prey to misinformation on social media.

Please examine the chart below released by Data for Progress.

Note that those who paid attention to the news voted for Vice President Kamala Harris while Donald Trump banked on scores of Americans who did not pay attention to all.

It is very important that people should be educated in school on the value of being well versed in current events and the news from credible news sources.

That way, along with increased education in history, government, and economics, they will be in a better position to make informed choices up and down the ballot.

Which ones are credible?

Please view the chart below and decide. The best bet for unbiased news is probably Reuters, NPR, and the Associated Press. No major corporate backers are steering them in any way, shape, or form.

Please also watch these comments from Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and the dangers of disinformation to the nation’s Democracy. The theme is consider the source in trying to get through all the lies and misinformation masquerading as accurate news.

  1. Republicans have painted a target on the Corporation for Public Broadcasting/PBS/NPR. It is not like the previous attempts – the extremists in today’s “Republic”an party have the votes and a “president” to eliminate them all, or at the least eviscerate them financially that they become a shell, thereby unable to do much at all.
