In a flashing warning sign for Trump and his supporters, Trump faces glaring vulnerabilities heading into a general election:

• 53% of Americans say they would definitely not support him if he is the GOP nominee.
• Another 11% say they would probably not support him in November 2024.
• Of course, MAGA Republicans — 74% — say they would support Trump, but a whopping nine in 10 GOP primary voters want GOP candidates to focus on making the case for themselves, but not against Trump.
The data comes from a new AP-NORC poll. The findings strengthen the arguments of Trump’s rivals, who warn that he can’t win in a general election when he must compete for votes beyond the GOP base.
Trump lost the popular vote in the 2016 campaign, attaining the presidency only by winning a majority in the Electoral College. He lost to Joe Biden by an even larger 7 million-vote margin in 2020, a defeat he has falsely attributed to widespread voter fraud.
Of course, this is no time for Democrats to be complacent. Every Democrat, independent and new voter must work fiercely to defeat Trump. Today it is important for Democrats, like you, to become a Democratic precinct committee person.
Campaign finance records show Arizona’s Democratic Party has more cash than the state’s Republican Party, and that 40 Democratic groups, including legislative, district and county groups, raised about $2 million in the most recent quarter, four times the amount raised by 38 equivalent Republican groups in the same time period, according to records reviewed by the Arizona Republic.
Yes, Trump did break the law
About half of adults say Donald Trump acted illegally in his attempt to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia, and 54% think his actions following his loss in the 2020 presidential election threatened democracy. According to a CBS News poll,
• Half of the public also considers Trump’s actions concerning the classified documents found at his Florida home as illegal.
• Nearly half feel he acted illegally during the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
• The public is less inclined to say he acted illegally in the case about covering up hush money payments to a woman who said she had an affair with him: 34% say he acted illegally in that case, while 38% think his actions were unethical but not illegal.
Democrats nationwide are rallying to make sure Trump will be crushed in the 2024 election. Then again, America’s problems will be solved if he is convicted for his dozens of crimes.

To paraphrase an old saw, “There are lies, damn lies and polls.” I think we’ve seen enough bad polls to not put our faith in any. I used to think trump commissioned polls in places like The Villages, FL and Sun City, AZ but have now concluded he doesn’t even bother, He has an intern whose sole job is to make up fake polls. Bottom line, Dems, progressives and libruls can’t trust any media bs, we have to be prepared to overwhelm GQP/GOP fundie/vangie, christo-fascists over the next 20 election cycles until no vestiges of today’s republican party remains.
