No partisanship from Vic Williams here. Move along, please.

Steve Farley has proposed one of those nonpartisan bills, to ban coverings on license plates that interfere with photo radar. It's about stopping people from interfering with law enforcement and discouraging people from speeding, which endangers their safety and the safety of others.

LD-26 Republican Vic Williams is Chair of the House Transportation Committee. Will he take up the bill? That depends. He doesn't say it's a bad bill, and his hesitance has nothing to do with the bill being proposed by a Democrat, of course. It has to do with time constraints.

House Transportation Committee Chairman Vic Williams, R-Tucson, who didn’t take up the bill last year, said his committee’s top priorities this session include strengthening DUI laws, increasing funding for highways and outlawing texting while driving. But he said he still might hear Farley’s bill.

Vic might hear the bill. Then again, he might not. He'll wet his index finger, stick it in the air and check the political weather. With Vic, the answer is always blowin' in the wind.
