October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Info at Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse: https://www.emergecenter.org/. Don’t forget to wear purple on October 18, 2018 on Wear Purple Day.  Check out all the other activities for the entire month of October.

As a former staff attorney for a DV Victims Advocacy project (in Hawaii) and the former Interim Director of the Domestic Violence Commission in Tucson, this is an important month for me. Please participate if you can.

  1. The VAWA has expired. You don’t see the Republican House/ Senate jumping to take care of that, do you? Gee! Wonder why??

  2. Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for posting the event for the 2019 Tucson Women’s March! Is there a way to edit the entry? We are still finalizing the route but I’d like to add a graphic and make it more attractive. Thanks for your help!
