“One of America’s most notable Republicans” learns Romney believes in America

by David Safier

I got another Romney snail mail money pitch today, addressing me as "one of America's most notable Republicans." Yeah, that's me.

Here's a list from the mailing of what's wrong with Obama followed by what's right with Romney. The surprising thing to me is how flat and used up the language sounds. I think even "America's most notable Republicans" could do little more than yawn as they nod in agreement.

What's wrong with Obama:

"BIG GOVERNMENT." "Places trust in government instead of the American people." "Bigger government has gotten us absolutely nowhere." "Deeper recession." "Mortgaged our future." "The middle class has been crushed." "President Obama's defeatist attitude." "Apologizing." "Sticking our head in the sand." "Suffocating the American Dream." "Turning America into a European-style entitlement society." "Made the federal government bigger, bloated and burdensome." "Enacted job-killing regulations." "Does not believe in America."

What's right with Romney [Note: Repetitions are because the phrases are repeated]:

"I believe in America." "I believe in America." "Fiscally conservative Republican." "Real-world business experience." "Get America working again." "Getting Americans back to work." "Reduce the size of government." "Restore our economy." "Create jobs." "I believe in America." "'Believe in America' is more than just a campaign slogan." "Staying true to our nation's core values and founding principles." "By believing in America." "Free and prosperous land of opportunity." "Cut, cap and balance the budget." "I put my faith in the American people." "I believe in America." "I believe in America." "I believe in the American dream." "I believe in American strength."

I transcribe. You decide.
