Trump’s blitzkrieg in Iran is a disaster that voters don’t want, a mistake that is crashing the U.S. economy, and a military adventure with no end in sight. The antiwar lyrics of Country Joe and the Fish in 1969 ring true today.
Trump is using the U.S. military as a plaything on behalf of Netanyahu. In one week, Trump’s narcissistic war has spread to Qatar, Iraq, Cyprus, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. This is why starting a war in the Middle East is always a bad idea.
On June 22 last year, Trump claimed that Iran’s nuclear program was “obliterated.” By his own account, the bombing ended any nuclear threat. But now, in a moment of personal pique, he suddenly blurted that Iran was going to fire long-range missiles against the U.S., even though Iran has no ICBM missiles.
It calls to mind the nonexistent “weapons of mass destruction” pretext to justify the eight-year war in neighboring Iraq in 2003.

Murdering school girls
Trump’s first accomplishment was killing 175 schoolgirls in southern Iran in a U.S. precision attack.
A Quinnipiac poll found about half of registered voters oppose the U.S. military action against Iran, while only 4 in 10 support it. The vast majority of Democrats were against it (89%), and independents were against it (60%). Only bloodthirsty brain-dead Republicans are for it (85%)
Trump will likely “run the country” as he did in Venezuela after he kidnapped its President. The problem is, Trump can’t even run the U.S., where the affordability crisis has cratered the economy.
Senior citizens hold 80% of U.S. stock ownership, and their retirement savings have taken a nosedive as the Dow Jones Industrial Average has declined by approximately 1,631 points since February 28. Meanwhile, the U.S. labor market lost 92,000 jobs in February, and the economy will worsen as businesses cut back amid rising costs. Can a recession be far behind?

Welcome to $4-per-gallon gas prices caused by the war. Nothing raises gas prices like disruptions to the Strait of Hormuz, oil production cuts in Kuwait and Iraq, and attacks on oil fields in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
No one knows what will come next. Trump failed to anticipate that Russia would be energized to provide intelligence to Iran. Trump’s reckless war in Iran is costing more than $890 million a day – or has already cost more Than $5 Billion.
$5 Billion would provide Medicaid coverage for 1.4 million uninsured Americans.
It’s time for voters to write their Congress members and U.S. Senators and say, “One, Two, Three, Four, We Don’t Want Trump’s Stupid War.”

Yeah, come on all of you, big strong men,
Uncle Sam needs your help again.
He’s got himself in a terrible jam
Way down yonder in Iran
So put down your books and pick up a gun,
We’re gonna have a whole lotta fun.
And it’s one, two, three,
What are we fighting for?
Don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn,
Next stop is Iran;
And it’s five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain’t no time to wonder why,
Whoopee! we’re all gonna die.
Like Nixon, like Trump? I remember that song from the Vietnam Conflict. And several young men from my village died there.
