Organizational Meetings For The New Democratic Legislative District Committees – Pima County

H/T LD 10 Legislative District 10 Committee.

Organizational meetings for the new Democratic legislative district committees

Arizona law provides that after redistricting creates new legislative districts, the party committees for the new legislative districts are formed at organizational meetings for each new LD. At these meetings the chair, two vice chairs, a secretary and a treasurer are elected by the PCs living in the new LD. See A.R.S. 16-823 https://www.azleg.gov/ars/16/00823.htm.

For Pima County these organizational meetings will take place during the regular general meeting times of the current LD committees. Attendance at each LD organizational meeting will be limited to the appointed and elected PCs who live in the new LD. In the coming weeks each PC will receive a Zoom link to register for the meeting of their new LD committee. At each meeting a chair of an existing LD committee will call the meeting to order, and then PCDP will conduct the election of officers for the new LD committee and any other business.

Here are the upcoming organizational meetings.

In the coming weeks transition teams for each new LD will be reaching out to the PCs in their new LD to keep them apprised of progress on the structure of the new LD committees and ways that they can step up to take active roles in their new committees.
