The most powerful moment of the night was the three women who delivered deeply harrowing, personal stories on abortion rights. Amanda Zurawski of Texas, Kaitlyn Joshua of Louisiana and Hadley Duvall of Kentucky described the needless tragedy and heartbreak they experienced from state abortion bans.
One-third of all women live under abortion bans.
Abortion bans are the issue where Donald Trump has personally done the most damage to the most people.
There was a stadium full of warmth for Hillary Clinton – including a resounding chant, “Lock him up!” reflecting back the Republicans’ taunt.
“Just look at the candidates. Kamala cares about kids, families, and America. Donald only cares about himself,” Clinton said. “On her first day in court, Kamala said five words that guide her still: ‘Kamala Harris, for the people.’ That’s something Donald Trump will never understand.”
Joe Biden teared up after his daughter Ashley’s introduction. She said, “Joe Biden is the O.G. girl dad.” (O.G. is ‘original gangster.”) Joe said, “Trump is not worthy of being President. He’s crazy. He will ban abortion nationwide.”

He added, “I love my job, but I love my country more. Choosing Kamala was the best decision I made in my career. Our best Presidents were also the best Vice Presidents. (pause) That’s a joke.”
One rising star in the next generation is Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX). With a wink and a smile, she said, “She’s lived the American dream while he’s been America’s nightmare” and “She became a career prosecutor while he became a career criminal, with 34 felonies, two impeachments and one porn star to prove it.” See her video below.
If any two politicians deserved to have mixed emotions last night, it would be Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. But they showed absolutely no bitterness — at least towards Democrats — and gave very fiery speeches. And both probably received the loudest and longest ovations of their long political careers.
Delegates do have gripes about the convention. The Delegate buses are exhaustingly slow as they wade through security and bus traffic. The ride to McCormick Place took 45 minutes to go 5 miles. The ride to the United Center took two and a half hours. The convention programming ran 90 minutes late, so Biden’s speech went to 11:30 pm. I arrived at the hotel at 1 am, which gave me an abbreviated sleep for the 7 am credential pick-up.

(Slightly) off topic here –
I saw the 2nd night of the DNC, and came away with the opinion that the best two public speakers in the Democratic Party, and maybe America, both have the last name of Obama.
And I’m probably not the only person who believes that.
I agree. Third night included Oprah Winfrey, Hakeem Jeffries and Pete Buttigieg. All were excellent but Michelle Obama is in first place, IMO.
While I am no big fan of President Biden, I have to feel sorry about the way that the Democratic Party and this blog has treated him.
After giving him the bums rush off the ticket because, after the debate, even Democrats had to admit that he is too senile to be a candidate (But I guess not to be president for the next five months.), they promised him a grand passing the torch to Harris going away speech at the convention.
But now because he is too toxic to be associated with candidate Harris, , they put him on at 11:30 PM Eastern time, when few people would see him and then they flew him away. Even this blog can only give him a paragraph.
I think they call that elder abuse, and voters will realize how phony you all are.
PS. Kamala cannot hide her involvement with the Biden-Harris administration.
John. Did you see your boy thought he was in North Carolina instead of Pennsylvania only two days ago. I suggest you read the past Blog articles about Mr. Biden and issue a correction of your assessment. Furthermore, Harris is not running from the considerable achievements of the Biden/Harris Administration. She is proposing policies that build on it like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that Mesa Mayor John Giles is championing. By the way, John. How long is that list of Arizona and National Republican leaders for Harris. Now talk about running away from someone, where was Mike Pence at the RNC convention John? I know several Republicans who either supported or worked for the January 6 traitor and near destructor of the country speaking at the DNC convention. Your man is a walking one person crime wave and many of the people who work closet to him did not show up to the RNC Convention and several are supporting Harris/Walz. Facts are stubborn things John. It is a shame your side does not have them on their side.
For that matter the only living past Republican president didn’t show up at the RNC Convention.
JGCK saw this on one of the right wing angertainment channels and is just repeating whatever he heard there.
Convicted rapist and felon (I never get tired of saying that) is butt-hurt and scared since Biden dropped out, so his weird little minions are crying sad tears for a guy they literally spent the last 5 years demonizing.
Well, John Government Checks Kavangh, it’s an election for the NEXT POTUS, not the last.
The “phony” is you, after years of Biden abuse here, now crying sad tears for him.
OMG what a f’n hypocrite.
Harris has nothing to worry about when it comes to her time as VP, things are MUCH better now than they were in 2020 when your cult leader was playing reality TV POTUS.
Laziest troll ever.
