Paton swings on Kelly

Jon Paton released a 30 second ad intended for air play that lashes out at Jesse Kelly on Kelly's family's business. The ad oddly juxtaposes Kelly and Obama as if they were allies. I suppose to a GOP primary electorate there is little worse you can do to a Republican than tie him in some way to Obama.

I don't know how effective the attack portion of the ad will be: it hyperbolizes Kelly's actions a bit much to claim that he "lined his pockets with our tax money". I don't think that most people will deem accepting contracts for actual useful public infrastructure projects to be "lining his pockets". However, the back end of the commercial is also quite effective in establishing a positive narrative for primary voters.
