Patty Weiss’ campaign found an new way to make those increasingly dreary campaign e-mails interesting again. Rather than fancier formatting and interactive gew-gaws, she went the opposite direction with a hand-drawn cartoon note from her father. The total effect is little hokey, but it’s also very sweet, personal, and genuine. This is the sort of campaigning more with less that Democrats must do to make the most of new opportunities to communicate with voters that the internet is giving us.
