They've cut 5% from state workers' pay. And Republicans don't want to hear any whining about it either. You're damn lucky to have a job, you sniveling, union loving state workers!
Cut legislators' pay 5%? "No! I'm too . . . too me to have my pay cut! The horror! The horror!"
That's right. Republican senators voted down a pay cut equal to what they're demanding from other state workers (Yes, R guys and gals, you're state workers too, part of the evil bureaucracy you fight against so righteously). Of course, there are good reasons not to cut legislators' pay. There are always good reasons when it comes to your own salary.
Voting against the legislator pay cut were On-their-knees Al Melvin and Angry Frank Antenori.
I wonder, next pay day, will Democrats pull out their checkbooks and write checks to the state equal to 5% of their salaries — and ask Republicans to do the same? That simple gesture would be worth its weight in gold.
