In another unsual pairing you would never imagine for a Christmas song, Bing Crosby teamed up with David Bowie in 1977 for Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy. The "Peace on Earth" tune and lyrics were added to the song especially for this duet. The song was recorded in September for Crosby's 1977 television special, Bing Crosby's Merrie Olde Christmas — his last. Bing Crosby passed away on October 14, before the television special aired.
