A reminder that tonight is the one, and provbalby only, candidate forum in the Pearce Recal; eelction.
From the Arizona Republic:
Tonight's Legislative District 18 recall-candidate forum will be available via live webcast at azcentral.com beginning at 5 p.m. State Senate President Russell Pearce and challengers Jerry Lewis and Olivia Cortes are scheduled to appear at the forum, which is open only to ticketholders. All tickets have been distributed. "The demand for tickets to the event has been overwhelming, and we have not been able to accommodate everyone who inquired," said Peter Sterling, president and CEO of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, which is hosting the debate. The forum also will be broadcast by the student radio station at the East Valley Institute of Technology, or EVIT, where the debate is being held. Tune in to KVIT 90.7 FM or go to www.kvitgoldmine.com. You also can follow live Twitter comments and find previous stories, more candidate information and opinions about the recall at azcentral.com.
UPDATE: David Safier posted about the withdrawal from the campaign today by Olivia Cortes. Olivia Cortes withdraws from "Recall Pearce" election. Her withdrawal was to render her candidacy null, so that Friday's court hearing will not proceed. That hearing would have demonstrated that "King" Russell Pearce's family had engaged in election fraud by running a "sham" candidate. We donlt need a trial to prove what is now obvious to all. This corrupt politician has to go!
