Pics from Take Back K Street

by David Safier

I've been having a hell of a time posting, between weak wireless and the posting mechanism going out. So here's a photo from today's march, with a few to follow. I'm hoping I can get them to work.

This was the destination: the intersection of K Street and 16th. First the marchers filled the intersection, blocking traffic (which the police rerouted). Then we moved out, and this barricade with "99% Street" was moved in, a symbolic taking back of K Street for the 99%.

A few minutes later, 20 protesters locked arms behind the sign. They were arrested, as they wished to be, by police who escorted them over to a few waiting police vans. All very orderly.
