Editor: A little inside baseball for the PCs of Pima County today. On Dec 10th the Party will be holding a reorg meeting at which a new slate of executive-level party officers for the county will be elected. Kim Khoury and Eric Robbins will be competing for the chairmanship, each of them also promoting a team (official slates are prohibited by the Dem’s state by-laws) of candidates for the rest of the executive offices.

Here are candidate statements sent to BlogForArizona from the two chairperson candidates, in alphabetic order:

Eric Robbins says:

It is my honor to seek the office of Chair of the Pima County Democratic Party in the upcoming election.  My name is Eric Robbins and I am humbly asking for your vote for our team. The team that agreed to serve with me includes long-time dedicated servants of Pima County Dems: Carol Schloff, Brian Bickel, Maggie Winchell, Kitty Kennedy, and Beth Mitchneck. I have been serving in LD21 as Vice Chair and helped with the 10,000 Voters Project that was one small part in helping swing Pima and Arizona Blue this last cycle. This team brings years of experience with PCDP, including extensive experience at the LD leadership level. These are not “Summer Soldiers.” We have a cohesive vision of continuity and growth for PCDP and believe we offer the best team to continue to lead to Democratic candidate victories in the years to come.
