You can sign nominating petitions at the Arizona Secretary of State’s web site. You can also use the E-Qual website to Make a $5 contribution to participating candidates in Citizens Clean Elections. Just have your driver’s license and credit/debit card or PayPal account info available.

Wednesday, July 2: 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 – The most sweeping civil rights legislation since Reconstruction, the Civil Rights Act prohibits discrimination of all kinds based on race, color, religion, or national origin. The law also provides the federal government with the powers to enforce desegregation. Earlier in 1964, the 24th Amendment abolishes the poll tax, originally instituted in 11 southern states to make it difficult for blacks to vote.
